Eberl Iron Works Inc.

What's New?
Our company is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a member of Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International.  FMA provides the tools and resources needed by companies to improve operations.  FMA educates the industry through top-notch programs, award-winning publications, and North America's largest metal forming, fabricating, and welding event.  FMA brings the metal forming and fabricating community together through networking sessions, volunteer opportunities, and award programs.  Visit FMA here: http://www.fmametalfab.org.

We are proud of an April case study released by UB Engineering's Center for Industrial Effectiveness, featuring our successes with Lean Manufacturing.  Click here to read a copy.

We would like to welcome two new additions to our office team – Marisa Wegrzyn, a new Customer Service Representative and Colin Freeburg, our new office intern, both hired in May 2008. We bid farewell to Julie Gauthier, our intern for the past eight months who recently graduated from Canisius College and is moving on to a career in public accounting.

The Traffic Safety Products Division would like to inform you of new Federal Regulations regarding Retroreflectivity.

Final Rule: Maintaining Traffic Sign Retroreflectivity is far reaching in effect and applies to most regulatory, warning, street name and both ground-mounted and overhead guide signs - whether permanent, temporary or portable - on all public roads and private property where the public is invited to travel.
Eberl Iron Works’ Traffic Safety Products Division is your source for MUTCD Compliant Signs. Please call our Customer Service Department at 800-285-3056 if you have any questions about the new Federal Rules. Our knowledgeable staff is prepared to answer your questions!

The Metal Fabrication Division has expanded its marketing of stair pan and other fabricated products into the Ontario province of Canada due to the strength of the Canadian dollar.  As of today, the exchange rate is $1.01 Canadian (the "loonie" - the unofficial name for the Canadian dollar) to $1.00 US.  The Canadian dollar has appreciated due to the strong demand for Canada's production of raw materials like gas, oil, minerals and metals.  A lot of this demand is due to the booming Chinese economy, with a seemingly insatiable appetite for raw materials, as well as global economic growth.

Visit our website www.stairpans.com to learn more about our steel stair pans and stair treads.  Eberl Iron Works has been providing quality products and services to the miscellaneous, ornamental and structural steel industries over three generations.  Our experience and our commitment to our customers set us apart from our competitors.

Unistrut Buffalo announces the creation of a separate Unistrut division focused on engineered Fall Protection Systems.

Utilizing its existing strengths, Unistrut Corp. has implemented a national program that includes specialized training, operations, partnerships and new personnel to create the only Nationwide Installer of Engineered Systems in the United States.

Below is an example of a featured assembly:

The overhead configuration for extended-height hookup offers extended work range while reducing dangerous swinging after a fall.  The overhead setup consists of two treated stainless steel transfasteners joined by a spring-loaded, zinc plated yoke assembly.

Visit http://unistrutfallarrest.com/namerica/ for more information about products and services offered through the Fall Protection Division.

The Systems Installation Division would like to showcase a unique use of the ManSafe transfastener.  SOLO-STEP is a rehabilitation support system that provides numerous benefits to patients, therapists and facilitites.  The system is designed for safety, comfort and simplicity, and can accomodate patients from size XS-XXXL.  See the difference between traditional and SOLO-STEP rehab in the photos below.

Benefits to patients include reduced fear of falling, increased confidence, and a safe atmosphere for balance and gait training.  For therapists, SOLO-STEP allows time to focus on the client rather than anticipate falls and therefore, increases productivity.  The system is also cost-effective and space saving.
