What's New? We would like to announce an exciting project that has been in the development stages for the past couple years: the Eberl Iron Works, Inc. Online Store at http://store.eberliron.com. Commerce will begin in October 2007. A wide variety of items will be available for purchase online including Unistrut parts & channel, Lindapter connections, Food Grade Strut, pipe & conduit supports and Traffic Safety Products. Please be sure to visit our store! We would also like to welcome two new additions to our team - Jeffery Massaro, hired in September 2007 as Machine Assistant, and Juliette Gauthier, a Canisius College student, hired in August 2007 as our General Business Intern.
The Traffic Safety Products Division would like to keep you updated about recent FHWA requirements in the area of Worker Visibility. By the end of 2008, all workers within rights-of-way of federal-aid highways who are exposed to traffic or construction equipment in the work area will have to wear high-visibility safety apparel, according to a new rule, 23 CFR Part 634 Worker Visibility. Please take a look at the back cover of our catalog for traffic wearables. We offer ANSI Class II vests and Nite Brite Bomber Jackets. Please call us at 800-285-3056 if you still haven't requested a TSP catalog!
In issuing the final rule, the FHWA emphasized that the requirement applies to all workers, whether paid or volunteer, and also noted that the rule applies to all right-of-way on federal-aid highways, not just work zones.
