What's Going On? It has been quite a summer for everyone here at Eberl Iron Works, Inc.! We have embarked on a journey called "Lean Manufacturing". We have partnered with University at Buffalo's Center for Industrial Effectiveness (TCIE), a program of UB Engineering, for training and implementation services. Funding for Lean training was secured by a competitive application to the NYS Department of Labor's 37L Training Grant Program. What is Lean Manufacturing? Lean is aimed at the elimination of waste in every area of production including customer relations, product design, supplier networks and factory management. Its goal is to incorporate less human effort, less inventory, less time to develop products, and less space to become highly responsive to customer demand while producing top quality products in the most efficient and economical manner possible. The grant runs through July 1, 2007. We are looking forward to the rest of the program! Visit our website to read our Press Release on Lean Manufacturing. Traffic Safety Products has added even more new products to its menu of items, from Wanco Highway Safety & Traffic Control Products to Temporary Sign Base Kits, and from Traffic Speed Displays to Roll Up Signs. Don't forget to check out our webpage at www.trafficsafetyproducts.net to learn more about our full line of products. We are your One Stop Traffic Shop! The Metal Fabrication Division would like to introduce its new website Stairpans.com. This website was designed by Eberl Iron Works to help guide and inform our customers in the manufacturing and installation process of Metal Stairs as well as inform them of our products and services. Visit www.stairpans.com now! This website provides information not only on the products we provide, but also helpful informational tools, terms and links that we hope will make your next job easier. Reminder: As we enter the rain and snow season, check out our Metal Canopies for your loading docks and doors! Keep snow, ice and rain from dropping onto your loading docks where they create slippery, unsafe conditions. Contact Steve Paveljack in our Metal Fabrication Division to have a metal canopy custom-formed to your specifications.
Our Unistrut Buffalo Division would like to call your attention to a new product, KeeGuard(R) Roof Edge Protection System. KeeGuard is a modular, free standing roof edge railing system that does not penetrate the roof membrane. Being free-standing, KeeGuard can be used for roof edge fall protection, walkway demarcation, and stairwell and open lift shaft fall protection. It can also be used to fulfill a variety of additional safety requirements. KeeGuard is fully tested and meets or exceeds current safety requirements. Call Greg Jones in our Customer Service Department to learn more.
